FAQ
What is SPF?
A DNS TXT record listing servers allowed to send mail for the domain. Without it mail lands in spam more often and DMARC cannot pass via SPF.
Why does the 10-lookup limit matter?
Every include, a, mx, ptr and exists is a lookup. Over 10, receivers treat SPF as a permerror and the check fails for every message.
Can a domain have two SPF records?
No. Two v=spf1 records are an error and SPF fails entirely. Merge the mechanisms into one record.
~all or -all?
~all (softfail) is the safe start. -all (fail) once every sender is listed. Never use +all.
