This Acceptable Use Policy («AUP») describes the rules for using Sendersy. It is incorporated by reference into the Terms of Service. By using the Service you agree to these rules. Violation of the AUP may result in immediate suspension or termination of the Account.
1. Permitted use
Sendersy is built for transactional and consent-based email — messages that the recipient is expecting from you because of an existing relationship, transaction, or explicit opt-in. Typical legitimate uses:
- Account verification, password resets, two-factor codes.
- Order confirmations, shipping updates, receipts, invoices.
- Product notifications the user opted in to.
- Service announcements (downtime, policy changes).
- Newsletters and marketing — but only to recipients who explicitly subscribed.
2. Prohibited content
You must not use Sendersy to send messages containing or promoting:
- Illegal goods or services in the recipient's jurisdiction.
- Phishing, credential harvesting, impersonation of any person, brand, or organisation.
- Malware, ransomware, viruses, or links to such.
- Pornography, adult-content lead generation, or escort services.
- Gambling promotions where prohibited by law.
- Unregistered securities, get-rich-quick schemes, Ponzi / pyramid programmes.
- Cryptocurrency airdrops, ICO marketing, pump-and-dump promotions.
- Mortgage, debt-relief, or work-from-home spam.
- Pharmaceuticals (including weight loss, sexual health) not from licensed pharmacies.
- Harassment, threats, hate speech, defamation.
- Material that infringes intellectual-property rights.
- Personal data scraped or purchased from third parties.
3. Prohibited sending practices
- Spam: sending to recipients who have not given explicit consent (UCE / UBE). Purchased, rented, scraped, or appended lists are forbidden — no exceptions.
- Hidden opt-in: pre-checked boxes, opt-in buried in legalese, opt-in obtained through deception or coercion.
- Header forgery: spoofing the From address to impersonate someone else, removing or falsifying Message-ID, Received, Date headers.
- Misleading subject lines that do not reflect the body.
- Lack of unsubscribe: marketing emails without a working one-click unsubscribe link.
- Ignoring complaints: failing to remove recipients who marked your message as spam or unsubscribed (Sendersy does this automatically via the suppression list — do not bypass it).
- List bombing or distributed list bombing schemes.
- Open-relay / open-redirect use of templates to obscure landing pages.
4. Prohibited platform abuse
- Attempts to bypass rate limits, quotas, or suppression lists.
- Reverse-engineering, decompiling, or unauthorised security testing.
- Sharing API keys outside your Organisation.
- Reselling or sub-licencing the Service without prior written authorisation.
- Using more than one Account to circumvent a previous suspension.
5. Sender requirements
- You must own or be authorised to send from any domain you use as the From address.
- You must configure SPF and DKIM for your domain (Sendersy auto-generates DKIM; SPF you publish).
- You must monitor your bounce and complaint rate. Sustained complaint rate above 0.3% or bounce rate above 5% may trigger automatic suspension.
- You must promptly process unsubscribe requests — at most within 10 days, but instantly via the Sendersy suppression list.
6. Reporting abuse
If you receive spam, phishing, or other abusive email originating from Sendersy, please forward the message with full original headers to support@sendersy.com. We respond to abuse reports within 24 hours on business days.
7. Enforcement
- Warning: first-time minor issues result in a written warning.
- Suspension: Account is paused, sending API returns 403. The Customer keeps access to logs and analytics.
- Termination: Account is closed and all data deleted within 30 days. The Customer remains responsible for any unpaid Fees.
- Severe abuse (phishing, malware, illegal content) results in immediate termination with no warning, and may be reported to law enforcement and to the global anti-abuse community (Spamhaus, SURBL, etc.).
8. Appeals
If you believe a suspension was made in error, write to support@sendersy.com within 30 days. Include your Account email and a brief description of the disputed action. We aim to respond within 5 business days.
9. Changes
This AUP may be updated to reflect new abuse patterns or legal requirements. Material changes are emailed to Customers at least 30 days in advance. The current version is always at sendersy.com/legal/aup.
Effective from 2026-05-18.
