Notification emails — a new comment, a finished export, a payment — are transactional, high-trust messages. Done well they bring users back; done badly they get muted.

Make them scannable

The subject line should carry the whole message: "Maria commented on your doc". Many users never open — they act straight from the subject and preheader.
